Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Abdullah Abdullah admitted that the govement has not done enough to protect joualists.

He marked World Press Freedom Day on Tuesday at an event in Kabul and stressed that cases involving the killing of joualists should be thoroughly investigated.

Abdullah applauded local media for their achievements over the years and said govement would do everything possible to protect joualists from coming under attack.

The Minister of Information and Culture, Abdul Bari Jahani, meanwhile said that joualists' protection mechanism has been finalized.
