A number of MPs expressed their conces in parliament's session on Wednesday over increased insecurity in central Ghazni and southe Helmand provinces.

The MPs waed govement that "if they miss the current opportunities [to eliminate militants] then the insurgents will increase their activities in the upcoming summer."

MPs said that residents of Ghazni and Helmand are also extremely conceed about the ongoing security situation.

"It's many years that Nawa [district of Ghazni] is under the control of Taliban. There are no plans to re-take the district and if it continues like this Ghazni will become very dangerous in the upcoming summer," MP Shah Gul Rezaye said.

"Ghazni's challenges should not be overlooked," another MP Ali Akhlaqi said, adding "we don't have enough security forces and despite local security officials talking with govement officials, they dismissed 300 of our security forces as well."

Other MPs meanwhile also expressed their conces over the increase in kidnappings and insecurity in Kabul city.

"There are very important issues that they forget in Kabul. There is everyday murders and kidnappings and insecurity is rising. The head of Maiwand hospital was kidnapped in Kabul and it's not yet clear where he is," MP Mirdad Khan Nijrabi said.

On the issue of the peace process, MPs have called on govement to share details with MPs over the recent peace process.

"People and parliament are not aware of details around the peace process. Details should be shared over the recent progress in the peace process," MP Fakoor Behishti said.

Osman Farahi, another MP said: "The United States has violated the Bilateral Security Agreement [also called BSA signed between Kabul and Washington in 2014) as Pakistan everyday attacks Afghan soil but the U.S is only an observer and it does nothing to stop it."

"The peace talks is a failed process. Kabul is a weak govement and it does not raise its voice to the United Nations," he added.

It was expected that face to face peace talks begin in the first week of March after the recent Quadrilateral Coordination Group (QCG) meeting in Kabul. But Taliban recently, in a statement, rejected the peace talks with the Afghan govement.
