Hundreds of people come to Qaragha Lake, a popular recreational area in Kabul, on a daily basis to have fun.

Some of the visitors go for boat rides, while others swim and have picnics. Taking photos is another form of entertainment that the recreational area offers.

A group of youth, who are performing Attan (the national dance of Afghanistan), said that they come to Qargha with their friends to have fun.

Kabul citizens say that going out for entertainment is necessary. However, due to the lack of standard recreational places and insecurity, people hardly dare to go out with their families to have fun.
