Officials have confirmed that a Pakistani military chopper made a crash landing in Logar province on Thursday afteoon.
According to the provincial goveor's spokesman Salim Saleh, the helicopter crashed in the Mati area of Azra district.
He said the helicopter appeared to have caught fire on landing. However, some resident in the area said the Taliban torched the chopper after it crashed.
Unconfirmed reports also indicate that six people were on board and that they had been captured by insurgents.
It is not however clear what the Pakistani helicopter was doing in Afghan air space over Logar province which is close to Kabul.
