Two explosions occurred Saturday afteoon at the Dehmazang Circle in Kabul city where thousands of demonstrators had gathered from early moing in protest over a planned power line project.

Police have yet to provide details on what type of bomb was used.

The number of people killed or wounded has also not been disclosed but an image posted on social media shows more than a dozen casualties.

Damage to nearby buildings was also extensive.
