Appeal's Court Head And Six Others Killed In Logar Attack

A Logar Provincial Council member has confirmed seven people, including the head of the appeal's court in Pul-e-Alam, were killed in an attack on the court building Sunday moing.

Provincial council members said that the head of the appeal's court, Ayoub Ansari, was killed just hours after being appointed to the position.

In addition to the seven killed, 23 were also wounded.

According to officials, three armed attackers, wearing suicide vests, entered the building and clashed with security forces.

The gunfight lasted for about two hours. Security forces were eventually able to kill all three attackers.

No group, including the Taliban, has claimed responsibility for the incident.
